Please let me start out by saying I seldom (if ever)leave a review regarding anything but I feel like making an exception in this case. I bought these beautiful grips for my k frame Smith that I am saving for one of my daughters . They really make this gun and will be proud to present this beauty to her someday. I have searched the internet and gone to many shows and almost impossible to find elk or bone grips these days. I have purchased a number of grips over 50 years (from ivory to exotic woods) and these are the absolute best fitting and “cool” grips .... I have ever had the privilege to own. They fit the frame as if custom made for the piece. It was also great to talk to Mike. When I first ordered the grips on line.... he responded back within 30 minutes answering my questions about the grips. He was such a “courteous” gentleman and felt I had known him for years! It is way different dealing with a true craftsman instead of dealing with a big company and customer service where you are just a number or (on hold for 20 + minutes.) He truly takes pride in his work. I ordered the grips on Saturday night on line and received the S&W “grip inserts” on the grips the next week. They were only a few dollars more ( think $15/$20) and really added to the gun. I think his son works with him as well or I sure hope so. They consulted with each other to make sure they would work in these particular (“custom”) in-house grips”. This is old school stuff. The grips really are outstanding and this is like a lost art. Thank you so very much Mike and I am putting in a truly custom order for another set for my other daughter. I know he is getting really busy so I am getting on a list for the custom grips. Bottom line - I simply couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase. Thank You Again!
